8.15.2 | Changing parameters of the BLITS instrument
For the use of the
BLITS
instrument as a generator for broadcasting, you can route the channels of the BLITS test tone se-
quence to the outputs you want to use. Also, you can prepend a wave fi le with your station identifi cation sound to the sequence.
Please proceed as follows to defi ne the outputs for the BLITS generator:
8. Open the combo boxes labelled
Direct Out 3
,
Direct Out
4
or
Analog Direct Out
that are needed for the BLITS
channels and select one of the BLITS labelled channels
(
Blits L
,
Blits R
, …,
Blits RS
).
9. Repeat steps 6 - 9 until all channels are assigned.
10. Select the
Save & Exit
button to store the changes and
leave the menu. The
Save Preset
menu page is displayed.
11. Select a User Preset of your choice to store your settings
in.
12. Select the
Change name
button to edit the preset name.
A keyboard display is shown to enter a new preset name
(6 characters maximum).
13. Select the
Save & Exit
button again. All changes are
stored and the unit returns to normal operation.
1. Press
MENU
button. The unit changes to menu mode.
2. Select
the
Edit selected preset
button.
3. Select
the
Local Input/Output Routing and Instrument
Settings
menu tab.
4. Select
the
Monitoring Output Routing
button.
5. Select the column representing the output connector
you want to use for the output of the generated BLITS
sequence.
6. Open the combo boxes of the desired channels you want
to be the BLITS outputs.
7. To select the outputs in the
Digital Out 3
and
Digital Out
4
columns and the outputs in the
Analog Out
column,
select
Use direct out
in the corresponding combo boxes.
Please proceed as follows to activate the BLITS sequence:
1. Press
MENU
again. The unit changes to menu mode.
2. Select
the
Generator and Surround Ident Settings
menu tab. The
Generator and Surround Ident Settings
menu is shown.
3. Check
the
Enable
option in the
Surround Ident
area.
4. Open
the
Format
combo box in the
Surround Ident
area.
5. Select
the
BLITS 5.1
option.
6. If an offset is needed for the digital or analog outputs, use
the
Digital offset
or
Analog offset
list box in the
Surround
Ident
area and enter a value between -12 and +12 dB.
7. Select
the
Save & Exit
button to save the setup and to
leave the menu. The dialog box
Save Global Settings?
is
shown.
8. Select
Save & Exit
button again to store the changes and
to return to normal operation with the outputs routed. The
BLITS sequence is now permanently routed to the defi ned
outputs.
