9.4.2.2 | Decoder
SurroundControl 31900 and SurroundControl 31960 are
available fi tted with the Dolby® decoder option („SD“ version).
This version features an internal Dolby® decoder processing
Dolby® Pro Logic I, Dolby® AC-3 Dolby® E or Dolby® DD+
signals. The decoder can be switched into the signal fl ow in
between the physical audio inputs and the internal channels
selected by the channel mode setting. This offers many additi- onal options, e. g. decoding Dolby® E coded surround signals
transmitted via SDI for Metering and Monitoring in various
ways.
When using the internal decoder, the physical input connector
to be used is selected by the
Source parameter of the Deco-
der section. After this, the decoder output signal can be selec-
ted as a source in the Monitoring Routing section.
