8.12 | The HARDWARE STATUS Instrument
The HARDWARE STATUS instrument is always displayed in
window 3. To set the focus on this instrument (indicated by a
highlighted frame around the window), simply press the INSTR
key. With the focus on window 3, the HARDWARE STATUS
functions are displayed in the Toolbar (window 1).
Selecting the Hardware status monitor displays the status of
the AES/EBU receivers for all digital input sources and shows
which digital input is currently being used as the source of the
unit’s clock signal (reference sync signal source, marked with
white color in the instrument in window 3). If there is no signal
on the selected input for reference, the message “Selected
reference failure” is displayed in the Status Box in window 4.
The internal sampling rate selected on the Audio System menu
tab is used as clock signal if no digital signal is present at the
digital inputs.
NOTE -
There are no functions available!
8.12.1 | Changing parameters
Please proceed as follows to change the reference sync source:

6. Open
the
A-D sample rate source
combo box and
select the option you need.
7. If you have selected
A-D follows reference below
, open
the combo box below and select the input you want to use
as reference sync source for the internal A-D converter.
8. Select
the
Save & Exit
button to store the changes and
leave the menu. The
Save Global Settings?
menu page
is displayed.
9. Select
Save & Exit
again to store your edits and to return
to normal operation.

MENU
. The unit changes to menu mode.
2. Select
the
Audio System
menu tab. The
Global Audio
Settings
menu is shown.
3. Open
the
Internal sampling rate if no external refe-
rence present
combo box and select the sampling rate
you need.
4. Open
the
External reference source
combo box and
select your preferred source for the reference sync signal.
If you want to use the
Use Ref Input
option, please
connect the external reference signal to the
Ref Sync In
connector.
5. If you have a unit with HD/SD SDI deembedder interface
(S and SD versions), you can use the
SDI input
as refe-
rence. Check the
Force reference source to SDI input
if monitoring SDI
option if you want to use the
SDI
input
every time you monitor SDI.
