Insert a finger through the opening in the bottom of the
paper tray and push the metal lift plate up against the
paper or film.
The plate is spring-loaded to press the paper or film up
against the two metal flanges.

Set the paper cassette cover on the paper tray so that the
cover is fully seated on the paper tray.

Set the media detect switch to match the media type in
the paper cassette.
The green plastic media detect switch in the right rear of the
paper cassette indicates to the printer whether paper or
transparency film is in the paper tray. Move the switch
toward the front of the paper tray for transparency film, or
toward the rear of the paper tray for paper.
