Chapter 1 — Installing Your Printer
8
Connecting the Power Cord
Once you confirm that the printer’s voltage setting matches the
electrical current within your facility, you may connect the
power cord to the printer and a three-pronged, grounded power
outlet.
WARNING:
Be sure to use the three-pronged electrical plug
supplied with the ColorScript 310/330 printer, and do not alter the
plug in any way. If your facility does not provide three-wire grounded
power receptacles, the power outlet should be upgraded to a three-
pronged, grounded outlet. Do not use a two-pronged grounding
adapter to plug your printer into a two-pronged outlet.
To connect the power cord:
1. Verify that the printer’s power switch on the front of the
printer is in the OFF position.
The “
°
” on the lower half of the switch is flush with the
switch moulding when the power is off.
2. Insert the receiver end of the power cord into the
receptacle in the rear of the printer.
3. Connect the three-pronged end of the power cord to a
properly grounded power outlet.
