Chapter 8 — Maintaining and Troubleshooting Your Printer

Cleaning the Thermal Print Head
If you notice a degradation in print quality, or if you see streaks
in your images, you may need to clean the thermal print head
using the ColorScript 310/330 cleaning pen.
NOTE:
Because of fire safety concerns, the ColorScript cleaning
pen included with your printer ships without solvent. Fill the pen with
100% isopropyl alcohol before using the cleaning pen.
To clean the thermal print head:
1.
Open the top cover.
If the printer has been in operation, allow the print head to
cool first.
2.
Gently sweep the ColorScript cleaning pen along the
length of the thermal print head several times in one
direction.
Allow the thermal print head to dry before closing the
printer cover.
Servicing the Printer
There are no user-serviceable parts in the ColorScript 310/330
printer. If the solutions discussed in this chapter do not resolve
problems you are having, contact a qualified repair facility.
