in their final position, they will automatically
move to this position when the engine
compartment lid is opened, even if the ignition
is switched off.
The wiper arms remain in this position until the
lid is closed and the wiper system is switched
off and then on again.

The amount of precipitation on the windscreen is
measured. Wiper speed is automatically adjusted
accordingly.
