Optical fiber cable specification
Single-mode fiber (SMF), 9/125µm SMF
Maximum transmission distance: 10 km (theoretical value derived from optical module)
Multiple-mode fiber (MMF), 62.5/125µm MMF, 50/125µmMMF
Maximum transmission distance: 550 meters (theoretical value derived from optical
module)
Connector shape: SC terminal attached on both ends
Note: Attached standard optical fiber cable is a single mode fiber cable of 9/125µm
SMF, 5 meter long.

5.1.2.2. Installing IF Board in PC
Before installing an IF board in PC, be sure to switch the PC off and unplug the power
cord. Open the PC housing and install the IF board in an empty PCI slot.
Make sure that the IF board has been installed firmly and squarely in the PCI slot.
Loose installation may result in failure of either or both the PC and the board.
5.1.2.3. Connection between PC and Camera Processor
Use a specified optical fiber cable to connect between the PC and APX RS.
The optical interface for the APX RS is hot-pluggable. You can connect and disconnect
it while power is on. Refer to the below figure for connection
The optical interface has two terminals: TX (transmit) and RX (receive). When
connecting one or more APX RS’s by optical interface, opposing terminals must be
connected as if forming a loop as shown in the below figures.
Optical cables do not have polarity and can be connected in any direction.
