7-2-7 Internal shutter
The internal shutter is opened and closed by the rotary solenoid to shut off the path of laser beam.

Effect from deterioration
When the rotation torque of the rotary solenoid declines, the opening/closing speed of the internal shutter is decreased or
the shutter may not work. In this case, an error “Internal shutter failure” occurs in the laser marker and marking cannot be
performed.

Replacement interval
• Total number of opening/closing operations has exceeded two million.
• Alarm for internal shutter error occurred.

• If the number of shutter cycles has exceeded two million, the “!” symbol is displayed on the maintenance screen of Laser
Marker NAVI smart and MAINTENANCE OUT (Y13) of the I/O terminal turns ON.

How to confirm the number of
opening/closing operations
Go to the “Maintenance” screen and select
“Operating data”. In “Number of shutter cycles”
you can check the number of shutter open/close
operations.
