Do not pull out the jammed document
forcibly before lifting the ADF cover.

Open the ADF cover ( ) while holding down
the document cover ( ).

Remove the jammed document ( ) carefully.
When the document has jammed near the
document entrance:
A
• If you cannot remove the jammed document
( ), open the document cover, remove the
document, then close the document cover.

When the document has jammed near the
document exit:
A
• If you cannot remove the jammed document,
open the internal cover ( ), remove the
document ( ), then close the cover.
