SNMP
SNMP stands for Simple Network Management Protocol. It is used to monitor the state
of the network remotely, collecting information about Internet traffic events and device
status and storing these in a database. For example, SNMP can be used to monitor the
amount of traffic passing through the network.
To Configure SNMP:
From any screen in the web interface,
step 1
Click the Advanced tab, then SNMP. The following screen appears:

Check the Enable SNMP Agent and SNMP Traps checkboxes.

Enter a name for the device in the Name field.
step 4
Enter the vendor’s location in the Location field.
step 5
Enter a contact for the vendor in the Contact field.
step 6
Enter a community name in the Name field in the Community area of the
screen, for Read-Only access. The default is Public.
step 7
Click Apply,
then
Tools. The following screen appears:
