Ping Test
Ping is a diagnostic tool used to test connectivity between IP Hosts.
Once you have configured your iConnectAccess624W, it is a good idea to ensure you
can Ping an Internet address. If your ISP has provided its server address, you can try to
ping this address. If the Pings for both the WAN and LAN side complete and you have
the proper protocols configured, you should be able to surf the Internet.
To Perform A Ping Test:
From any screen in the web interface,
step 1
Click the Tools tab, then Ping Test. The following screen appears:
step 2
Enter the target address to be pinged in the Enter IP Address to ping field.
step 3
In the Packet size field, enter the required packet size or leave at the default.
step 4
In the Number of echo requests field, enter the number of echo requests,
then click Test. The iConnectAccess624W will ping the specified address,
and you will be able to see the results in the display area beneath the Test
button.
