Disinfecting
Disinfection may cause damage to the equipment and is therefore not recommended for
this monitor unless otherwise indicated in your hospital’s servicing schedule. Cleaning
equipment before disinfecting is recommended.
The recommended disinfectants include: ethanol 70%, isopropanol 70%, Perform® classic
concentrate OXY.
16.2
General Inspection
Before every first use, after your equipment has been used for 6 to 12 months, or
whenever your equipment is repaired or upgraded, a thorough inspection should be
performed by qualified service personnel to ensure the reliability.
Follow these guidelines when inspecting the equipment:
Make sure that the environment and power supply meet the requirements.
Inspect the equipment and its accessories for mechanical damage.
Inspect all power cords for damage, and make sure that their insulation is in
good condition.
Make sure that only specified accessories are applied.
Inspect if the alarm system functions correctly.
Make sure that the recorder functions correctly and the recorder paper meets
the requirements.
Make sure that the battery meets the performance requirements.
Make sure that the monitor is in good working condition.
In case of any damage or abnormity, do not use the equipment. Contact the hospital’s
biomedical engineers or your service personnel immediately.
16.3
Maintenance and Testing Schedule
The following maintenance and tests, except for visual inspection, power on test,
touchscreen calibration, and battery check, shall be carried out by the service personnel
only. Contact your service personnel if any maintenance is required. Make sure to clean
and disinfect the equipment before any test and maintenance.
CAUTION
Care should be taken to change the settings in [User Settings >>] and [Factory
Maintenance >>] menus to avoid data loss.
Service personnel should acquaint themselves with the test tools and make
sure that test tools and cables are applicable.
