Automatic air conditioning
Air-recirculation mode with conven-
ience opening or closing feature
Convenience closing:
press and hold
the rocker switch
,
upwards or
downwards until the sliding/tilting
sunroof and the side windows are in
the desired position.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch
comes on. Air-recirculation mode is ac-
tivated.
Summer opening:
press and hold the
rocker switch
,
upwards or down-
wards again until the sliding/tilting
sunroof and the side windows are in
the desired position.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch
goes out. Air-recirculation mode is de-
activated.

If you open a window or the sliding/tilting
sunroof manually after closing using the conven-
ience closing feature, they will remain in this
position when opened using the convenience
opening feature.
When you have switched off the engine,
you can still heat the stationary vehicle for
up to 30 minutes using residual heat.

If you switch on residual heat in high temper-
atures, only the ventilation is switched on.
The heating time depends on the interior
temperature set and the coolant tempera-
ture.

The blower will run at a lower speed regard-
less of the airflow setting.
To switch on:
make sure that the igni-
tion is off.
Press the
,
rocker switch up or
down.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch
comes on.
To switch off:
press the
,
rocker
switch up or down.
The indicator lamp in the rocker switch
goes out.

Residual heat is switched off automatically:
when you switch on the ignition
after about 30 minutes
if the battery voltage drops
if the coolant temperature is too low

Risk of accident
Make sure that nobody can become trapped
as you close the sliding/tilting sunroof and
the side windows.
To halt the closing procedure and open the
sliding/tilting sunroof, press the roof switch
in the appropriate direction ( page 349).
