Operation
Tyres and wheels
i
The tyre pressure values indicated in the on-
board computer may differ from those measured
at a filling station with a pressure gauge. The on-
board computer will generally give a more accu-
rate value.
i
The operation of the tyre pressure monitor
can suffer interference if radio transmitting
equipment, e.g. wireless headphones or two-way
radios, is being operated in or near the vehicle.
i
If you correct the tyre pressure or change
the wheels, this is usually detected automatical-
ly by the tyre pressure monitor. After a few
minutes of driving, the warning thresholds for
the pressure loss warning are adapted to the
new tyre pressure. A tyre pressure warning is
then cleared automatically.
Restarting the tyre pressure monitor
All existing warning messages are cleared
and the warning lamp goes out when you
restart the tyre pressure monitor. The cur-
rent tyre pressures set then become the
reference values used by the monitoring
system.
You may restart the tyre pressure monitor
in the following situations:
After the tyre pressure has been modi-
fied
After a wheel or tyre change

new reference values and will be moni-
tored.
G
Risk of accident
The tyre pressure monitor does not warn
you of an incorrectly set tyre pressure. The
table in the fuel filler flap will help you de-
cide whether the tyre pressures should be
corrected.
The tyre pressure monitor is not able to
warn you of a sudden loss of pressure, e.g.
following penetration by a foreign object. If
this occurs, bring the vehicle to a halt by
braking carefully. Do not make any sudden
steering movements when doing this.
