COMAND telephone*
Select the number to be overwritten.
The input menu appears with the data
field for entering the new telephone
number.
To enter digits: select all digits one by
one from the input characters.
To move the cursor in the data field:
select Y or Z .
To delete individual digits: select )
and press n briefly.
The digit to the left of the cursor is de-
leted.
To delete an entire number: select
) and press and hold n until the
number is deleted.
To store the entry: select ? .
Text message functions
The following functions are available:
Receive
Read
Write a text message
Send
Manage

For safety reasons, you will not be able to
enter text while the vehicle is in motion.
The following conditions must be fulfilled
in order to use the functions:
The mobile phone is inserted in the
bracket and switched on
The PIN has been entered
The mobile phone is logged into a mo-
bile network
Basic text message menu
To call up the basic menu: select
"Tel" "Tel" "Messages" .
The basic text message menu appears.
1 Icon for unread messages in the text
message inbox
2 Display for newly arrived messages
(this function is not supported by all
mobile phones)
3 Call up the text message outbox
4 Call up text message drafts
5 Write new text message
6 Call up the text message inbox (this
function is not supported by all mobile
phones)
