Top up with 1 litre
of engine oil when
next refuelling
CL 600 only:
The engine oil level is too low. Check the engine oil level ( page 377)
and top up the engine oil if necessary.
Have the engine checked for leaks if the
engine oil needs topping up more often
than usual.

You have added too much engine oil.
There is a risk of damaging the engine
or catalytic converter.
Siphon off engine oil to the specified level.

The measuring system is malfunction-
ing.
Have the system checked at a qualified
specialist workshop.

CL 500 only:
The engine oil level has dropped to a
critical level or the sensor is malfunc-
tioning.
Check the engine oil level ( page 377)
and top up the engine oil if necessary.
Have the engine checked for leaks if the
engine oil needs topping up more often
than usual.

Caution, tyre defect
One or more tyres is losing air rapidly. Stop the vehicle without making any sud-
den steering or braking manoeuvres. Pay
attention to the traffic conditions.
Identify the faulty tyre.
Repair the tyre or change the wheel
( page 483).
