Close the doors.

The brake fluid level is too low.
Do not top up the brake fluid under any cir-
cumstances. This will not rectify the mal-
function.

Do not drive on under any circumstances.
Consult a qualified specialist workshop.
Brake immediately

A malfunction occurred while HOLD or
Distronic Plus* was activated.
Firmly depress the brake pedal immediate-
ly, traffic conditions permitting, until the
warning message in the multi-function dis-
play goes out.
Secure the vehicle against rolling away
when leaving it ( page 258).
EBV, ABS, ESP
inoperative

ESP ® , EBV and ABS have been deacti-
vated due to a malfunction. BAS has
also been deactivated. PRE-SAFE ® is
also therefore not operational.
BAS Plus* and the PRE-SAFE
® Brake*
may also have failed.
Drive on carefully.
Visit a qualified specialist workshop imme-
diately.
