Cruise control lever
The cruise control lever is used to operate
Distronic Plus and variable Speedtronic.
The LIM indicator lamp on the cruise con-
trol lever indicates which system you can
select:
LIM indicator lamp off:
Distronic Plus
LIM indicator lamp lit:
Variable Speedtronic
The cruise control lever is the uppermost
lever on the left of the steering wheel.

To store the current speed or a higher
speed

To store the current speed or a lower
speed

To switch off Distronic Plus

To activate Distronic Plus or to call up
the last speed stored

To switch between Distronic Plus and
Speedtronic

Distronic Plus is not available:
when the engine is not running
for up to two minutes after the engine
is started
if you depress the brakes while the ve-
hicle is in motion
if your vehicle is secured with the elec-
tric parking brake
when the automatic transmission is in
position

when the bonnet is open
when the driver’s door is open and the
driver has not fastened his/her seat

Risk of accident
Distronic Plus brakes your vehicle, depend-
ing on its speed, at a maximum of 4 m/s
2
.
This corresponds to approximately 40% of
your vehicle’s maximum braking power. You
must also apply the brakes yourself if this
braking power is not sufficient to avoid a
collision.

Risk of accident
The vehicle may be braked when Distronic
Plus is activated. For this reason, deactivate
Distronic Plus if the vehicle is to be set in
motion by other means (e.g. by towing).
