2. Checking the thread trimmer cam timing
Operaton of steps ) through 8) s the same as that of
“Checkng the recedng poston of the movng knfe”.
Perform the steps ) through 8).

the sewing machine after the operation in

f the heght of the needle bar from the top surface of
the throat plate s 46.8 to 47.4 mm.
＊ The tmng can be checked wth ease when usng the
gauge suppled wth the machne as accessores.

thread trmmer cam tmng s normal.

When enterng the gauge under the bottom end of the
needle bar, loosen setscrew

and remove presser

. After the completon of the operaton, return
presser foot

to the home poston and securely
tghten setscrew

. (Tghtenng torque : .5 to 2 N·m)
2) When the heght of the needle bar from the top
surface of the throat plate s not 46.8 to 47.4 mm, the
thread trmmer cam tmng s not proper. Correct the
thread trmmer cam tmng n accordance wth the
Engneerng Manual.
