For systems with automated sample translation, the translator shipping
lock must also be removed.

i.

Unplug the vacuum quick disconnect on the left side of the sample
chuck assembly. Remove the sample chuck assembly by loosening
the (4) black thumb screws. (2) are at the front of the sample stage
and (2) are at the back of the sample stage.

Lift the sample chuck off of the translator.

Remove the (6) SHC screws to remove the orange shipping lock. The
