Installing
the
microprocessor
fan
assembly
To
install
the
microprocessor
fan
assembly,
complete
the
following
steps:
1.
Reinstall
the
internal
speaker
if
it
was
removed.
2.
Engage
the
lower
retention
tabs
of
the
fan
housing
with
openings
in
the
chassis
and
tilt
the
housing
toward
the
front
of
the
computer.
3.
Press
the
two
retention
tabs
at
the
top
of
the
fan
housing
through
the
openings
in
the
front
of
the
computer
until
they
lock
securely
(see
4.
Reconnect
the
fan
power
cable
to
the
system
board
(see
for
the
location
of
the
microprocessor
fan
connector).
5.
Install
the
front
adapter-retention
bracket
(see
6.
Position
the
air-baffle
over
the
end
of
the
fan
housing
and
the
edge
of
the
heat
sink;
then,
press
it
in
place
until
it
locks
securely
