Making Measurements
Measuring Group Delay
TIP
An optimum calibration is critical for achieving best measurement
accuracy. Refer to
Chapter 6, “Calibrating for Increased Measurement
for detailed information about all of the various aspects of
calibration.
NOTE
Phase-derived delay cannot be used to measure frequency-translating
devices.
Enter the Measurement Parameters
1. Press the following keys on the analyzer:

2. Choose an aperture. When choosing an aperture, there is a trade-off
between minimum apertures (giving more resolution but noisier
responses) and maximum apertures (giving less resolution but
smoother responses). For this example, choose an aperture of 4% by
pressing:
