3. Carefully insert the foot of the gauge into the fixture opening.

4. Press the foot of the gauge gently against the roller until the indentor
touches the roller’s surface. The indicator hand will come to a stop,
indicating the durometer (hardness value) of the roller.

5. Remove the gauge from the fixture and disengage the rotor from the
fixture, keeping track of the roller being tested. Rotate the roller and
repeat the operation on a new area of the same roller. Take at least 3
measurements per roller and document the lowest value of the 3
measurements.
Note: Inspect for deformity on the roller surface. If deformity is found then
replace the rotor or roller.
6. Rotate the rotor 180 degrees and repeat the procedure with the second
roller.
