7. The A/D calibration screen will appear on the screen.
8. Press
MODIFY PROGRAM
to move the arrow to DPM.
Draw Pressure Monitor (DPM)
Offset calibration of the DPM
1. Ensure that nothing is connected to the DPM and no pressure is applied.
2. Verify that the DPM/SPM offsets are within the range of 1902–2194. If
out of range, DPM/SPM may need to be replaced.
3. Press
START
, this will store the DPM offset value. Record the offset
value.
Full scale calibration of the DPM
1. Attach the pressure monitor test harness to the DPM sensor (left-hand
side) and connect a pressure meter, Bio-Tek Model DPM-11 (or
equivalent) to the tubing.
2. Set the meter to the mmHg scale.
3. Increase the pressure until the pressure meter reads 300 +/- 2 mmHg.
4. Press
HIDDEN KEY 1
(see
for the locations of
hidden keys). This stores the DPM full scale value.
5. Record the full scale value.
6. Remove the pressure meter and test harness.
7. Press
MODIFY PROGRAM
, which selects SPM.
System Pressure Monitor (SPM)
Offset calibration of the SPM
1. Ensure that nothing is connected to the SPM and no pressure is applied.
2. Verify that the DPM/SPM offsets are within the range of 1902–2194. If
out of range, DPM/SPM may need to be replaced.
3. Press
START
. This stores the SPM offset value. Record the offset value.
Full scale calibration of the SPM
1. Attach the pressure monitor test harness to the SPM sensor (right-hand
side) and connect a pressure meter, Bio-Tek Model DPM-11 (or
equivalent) to the tubing.
2. Set the meter to the mmHg scale.
3. Increase the pressure until the pressure meter reads 300 +/- 2 mmHg.
4. Press
HIDDEN KEY 1

hidden keys). This stores the SPM full scale value.
5. Record the full scale value. Remove the pressure meter and test
harness.
6. Press the STOP
key.
