Troubleshooting
5 Overload / system fault
LED on:
Overload (current limiter on
i
MAPLA
active)
This LED lights up when the connected lifting magnet is too big for the
i
MAPLA system or a fault arose on the lifting magnet or load cable. The
material handling output is reduced accordingly / the magnetic current is
restricted to the machine's maximum. This LED can light up in the first few
minutes of operation when the lifting magnets are very cold- it should then
go out though.
LED is flashing:
System fault (on old MAPLA systems: short circuit)
This LED flashes when a system fault has occurred in the
i
MAPLA system.
A fault blink code is visible from the 100 %-LED and can be used to locate
the fault in the
i
MAPLA MMI. If you do not have an
i
MAPLA system (older
version), this means there is a short circuit. In this case, the load is released
immediately and deactivated. The fault must be fixed by an expert. To clear
the fault, it will be necessary to restart the machine (Motor-Stop).
6 Underspeed / overspeed
LED on:
Underspeed, generator
The generator is being driven at too low a speed. The system is operating at
reduced voltage or material handling performance (lifting output).
LED is flashing:
Overspeed generator
The generator is operating at an overspeed. It will not be possible to switch
the lifting magnet back on until the speed returns to within the tolerance
limits.
7 Cyclic duration factor (ED in%) of the lifting magnet
The cyclic duration factor of the lifting magnet is the ratio between the
switch-on/switch-off time. To protect the lifting magnet against quick ageing
(overtemperature), the switch-on duration must always be less than the
lifting magnet manufacturer's specification.
LED 4+5+6 flash: isolation fault triggered
The insulation monitor has detected an insulation resistance <25 KiloOhm
between the lifting magnet housing and active conductor. This is considered
a safety risk- call in an electrician. On
i
MAPLA systems, the system is locked
against being switched back on again (clear through a restart).

Temperature alarm, electronics / generator
The machine cannot be switched back on again while this fault remains
active. The fault is cleared automatically when the temperature has dropped
to a safe range. We recommend you allow the generator to cool down in idle
for a few minutes while the drive is running. Check the machine for dirt and
damage to the fan.
