Operating in Normal or Material handling mode [A]
For Normal mode, the switch on the right-hand side of the MMI must be in
the top position [A] = Material handling mode = Normal mode.
In Normal mode, the lifting magnet is switched on by pressing the control
button briefly and remains switched on until the control button is pressed
again briefly.
6.7.1
Lift load (switch on the lifting magnet)
When switching on the lifting magnet for the first time after the system
start, quick magnetisation with impulse excitation is not used yet. This first
magnetisation process lasts approx. 2 seconds than the next magnetisation
processes. When using a new

MAPLA system, the characteristic values
of the lifting magnet are measured the first time the machine is switched
on for safety reasons. In the measurement procedure, it can arise that the
magnetic voltage is reduced slightly. This is raised to the rated voltage
in the permanent mode if the magnetic load is less than or equal to the
max. permissible load on the system.
