6.10.11 Cyclic duration factor greater than or equal to 80 %
The cyclic duration factor of the lifting magnet is the ratio between the
switch-on/switch-off time. A switch-on time of 1 minute and subsequent
switch-off time of 1 Minute is equivalent to a relative connection time of
50)%.
In normal mode, the cyclic duration factor must lie between 50 % and 70 %.
From a cyclic duration factor of 80 % or higher, there is the risk of the lifting
magnet overheating. To protect the lifting magnet, reduce the switch-on
time of the lifting magnet until the display is back in the normal range
between 50 % and 70 %.
Unlike the older versions of the
i
MAPLA system, no automatic switch-off
takes place and no re-engaging lock when the relative switch-on time
exceeds 80 %.
Troubleshooting measures
>
To protect the lifting magnet, reduce the switch-on time of the lifting
magnet until the display is back in the normal range between 50 % and
70 %.
Warning
Risk of injury and risk of damage!
y
Continuous running when the cyclic duration factor is too
high can cause damage to or overheating of the lifting
magnet (follow the data sheet for the lifting magnet).
The
i
MAPLA system is in no way at risk here (100 %).
Note
If the machine has an MMI with option of a configurable tractive
force reduction, the switch-on time can be increased by lowering
the magnetic force. Keep a regular eye on the switch-on duration
indicated on the MMI.
