Operation
Note
There are systems without the optional insulation monitor.
Without an insulation monitor, the LED does not flash during the
requested self-test. The serial number on the switch box has the
letters “ISO” if an insulation monitor is installed. If “ISO” is not
stamped on the switch box this means no insulation monitor is
installed.
Note
Pressing the button switches a test resistor internally. The
self-test merely indicates that the insulation monitor is operating
correctly. It does not say anything about whether the connection
(potential connection PE/PA) of the lifting magnet to the
controller is correct.
6.6
Set operating modes, normal mode and jog mode
(machine handling and sorting operation)
Note
y
There are MMI versions without a switching option in Jog
mode. In this case, the switch on the right-hand side of the
MMI is missing.
►
In the MMI description, check whether the “Jog mode”
function is available.
>
Configure the required operating mode from the switch on the right-hand
MMI page.

6.6.1
Normal-/machine handling operation [A] (switch on top)
Normal mode is the mode most often used for material handling.
In Normal mode, the system works with the functions “quick magnetisation
with impulse excitation” and “quick demagnetisation” which accelerate the
magnetisation and demagnetisation process considerably.
