Visual inspection / cleaning work by the user
Cables
Check the junction cables and plug connections.

between generator and switch boxes,
y
between switch box and the lifting magnet,
y
between switch box and MMI (for MMI with radio modem: between switch
box and radio modem) and
y
between MMI and manual control unit (joystick)
y
for outwardly visible damage and correct fit of the plugs.
MMI
y
Check the MMI housing for outwardly visible damage, correct fit of the
plugs and dirt.
y
Clean the MMI housing with a damp cloth if required.

Parts of the

MAPLA system can get very hot during and after
operation.

Allow the

MAPLA-System and parts to cool down before
touching.
y
Check the generator- and switch box housing for outwardly visible
damage, correct fit of the plugs, as well as contamination impairing
cooling. Clean the generator and the cooling element of the switch box.
Where necessary, use compressed air and a damp cloth.
y
Check whether the sign attached to the generator for the safety and
warning information and the rating plate is easy to read. Where necessary,
clean the signs or replace them.
y
Inspect the cooling air openings on the reverse side of the generator for
dirt which could impede the flow of cooling air. If necessary, clean with
a damp cloth.
