6.10.3
Overload limitation
LED 5
The LED is lit:
y
The connected lifting magnet is too big for the
i
MAPLA system.
The built-in overload / current limiter of the
i
MAPLA is active.
The LED continues to light up after being switched back on.
The LED will not go out until an overload state is no longer
detected after the next time the lifting magnet is switched off.
This fault does not result in an automatic shut-down of the lifting
magnet.
Note
Overload limiter active is a warning. On newer
i
MAPLA systems,
this message is not displayed until significant overloads (>110 %)
apply. However, you should check that the lifting magnet is
suitable for the system.
Ö
Troubleshooting measures
>
Switch off the drive unit and secure against being switched on again
(e.g. remove the ignition key and keep it in a safe place).
>
Check the suitability of the lifting magnet for the generator size. If the
lifting magnet is very cold, it can require an increase in current for the first
minutes. This warning message should no longer appear automatically
after a few minutes.
>
If the warning does not go out, check the magnet itself for faults. Get in
touch with the manufacturer or an electrician.
>
A smaller or suitable lifting magnet can be connected to the
system / machine for test purposes.
>
If the fault persists, please get in touch with the manufacturer or a party
authorised by the manufacturer.
