Underspeed
LED 6
The LED is lit:
y
The generator runs at an underspeed and may not be able to
provide full power under certain circumstances.
When switching on, it is possible that the lifting magnet is not
magnetised with full surge voltage. The efficiency of the system is
reduced.
The LED goes out once the speed is within the tolerance
limits again.
This fault does not usually result in an automatic shut-down of the
lifting magnet.
Troubleshooting measures
>
Operate the generator at a speed within the permissible tolerances.

y
In addition, there is also the risk at low speed that the magnet
is no longer supplied with enough current and a loaded load
can drop in an uncontrolled fashion.

y
Underspeed can arise through a drive belt slippage.
►
In this case, the machine must be brought to an immediate
standstill and technicians must be contacted to fix the fault.
Note
For safety reasons, it is no longer possible to switch the magnet
on at very low speeds.
