Operation
6.6.2
Jog / Sort mode [B] (switch setting below)
The Jog mode is particularly good for separating the material. This operating
mode is usually not suited for normal material handling.
Note
Jog mode is not possible for all MMI variants (switch A/B is not
installed).
In Jog mode, the
i
MAPLA system does not work with the functions “Quick
magnetisation” and “Quick demagnetisation”. This means that the processes
for full magnetisation and demagnetisation of the lifting magnet last
considerably longer than with these functions.
Ö
Since the full demagnetisation takes some time, the material gradually drops
off the lifting magnet corresponding to the demagnetisation. Briefly pressing
the control button repeatedly and releasing it creates a separation of the
material suspended from the lifting magnet.
6.6.3
Other optional modes
GTS offers a range of different MMI variants adapted to and programmed for
specific applications.
This can be used with every
i
MAPLA system and are plug-compatible. Some
examples for functions upon demand:
y
MMI INT MSF (extended sorting and material handling)
Setting magnetic force and release response.
Optional second joystick input for optimised sorting.
y
MMI with safety mode for slab handling
y
MMI with interfaces for quick-connect mode
y
MMI with digital inputs and outputs / analogue outputs for representing
magnetic current and magnetic voltage precisely
The options can also be combined with each other. The basic functions
described here are, however, always identical.
