• Do not let th e sealing a re a around the
ce n te r bore of the head touch th e shaft
as the head is low ered.
• Do not rotate th e front head (16) to line
up with the dow el pins b e c a u s e this will
contact the reed container.
14. S eal (17) to th e front head (16) (figure 47).
• L ubricate the seal (17) and groove with clean
5 2 5 viscosity refrigerant oil.
15. Shell (9) to the internal as se m b ly (figure 48).
• C o a t the inside of th e shell (9) with clean 5 2 5
viscosity refrigerant oil.
• Position th e shell (9) on th e internal assem bly.
Rest the shell (9) on th e seal.
• W ith th e flat side of a sm all screwdriver, posi­
tion th e seal (17) in a round, circle s h ap e to the
inside of the shell (9).
• S lid e the shell (9) dow n. Line up the oil sum p
with th e oil intake tu b e hole.
16. N e w dow el pins (45) to th e re ar cylin der half.
• R e m o ve J 21352.
• Install th e co m p ressor into J 9396.
17. S eal (43) to oil pick-up tu b e (44).
18. Oil pick-up tu b e (44) to th e co m p ressor (figure 49).
• Lubricate the oil pick-up tu b e (44) with clean
5 2 5 viscosity refrigerant oil.
• P lace th e oil pick-up tu b e (44) in th e cavity.
• R otate the co m p ressor as se m b ly to align the
tu b e (44) with the hole in th e shell baffle.
