• J 9 3 9 6 to a vise.
• C om p ressor to J 9396. S ec u re with thum b screws
(figure 17).
1. Nuts (53) from th e th re a d e d studs.
2. R e ar head (54 ) (figure 18).
• T a p around th e e d g e to rem o ve th e rear head
(54).
3. Suction screen (58).
4. G ears (50 and 51).
• M ark the fac e of the gears before rem oving.
5. S eal (52).
6. R e ar discharge valve plate assem b ly (49) (figure 19).
• Use two sm all screw drivers und er the reed re­
tainers to rem ove th e assem bly.
• Do not position th e screw drivers b etw een the
reeds and the reed seats.
7. R e ar suction reed plate (48) (figure 20).
• Do not pry up on the h orse-shoe sh ap ed reed
valves.
8. O il pick-up tu b e (44) with J 5 1 3 9 (figure 21).

• Loosen the co m p ressor from J 9396.
• P lace J 21352 over the oil p um p end of the
shaft.
• Holding the support block in position with one
hand, lift the com p ressor from th e holding fix­
ture with the other hand.
