REVIEWING INFORMATION FOR AN AIRPORT, NAVAID, OR USER WAYPOINT
1)
With the desired map page displayed on the MFD, push the
Joystick
to
display the Map Pointer and place the Map Pointer on a waypoint.
2)
Press the
ENT
Key to display the ‘WPT - Waypoint Information’ Page for the
selected waypoint.
3)
Press the
Go Back
Softkey, the
CLR
Key, or the
ENT
Key to exit the ‘WPT -
Waypoint Information’ Page and return to the ‘Map - Navigation Map’ Page
showing the selected waypoint.
VIEWING AIRSPACE INFORMATION FOR A SPECIAL-USE OR CONTROLLED
AIRSPACE
1)
Place the Map Pointer on the boundary of an airspace.
2)
Push the
Joystick
to remove the Map Pointer and center the map on the
aircraft.
MEASURING BEARING AND DISTANCE BETWEEN ANY TWO POINTS
1)
Press the
MENU
Key (with the Navigation Map Page displayed).
2)
Highlight the ‘Measure Bearing/Distance’ field.
3)
Press the
ENT
Key. A Measure Pointer is displayed on the map at the
aircraft’s present position.
4)
Move the
Joystick
to place the reference pointer at the desired location.
The bearing and distance are displayed at the top of the map. Elevation
at the current pointer position is also displayed. Pressing the
ENT
Key
changes the starting point for measuring.
5)
To exit the Measure Bearing/Distance option, push the
Joystick
; or select
‘Stop Measuring’ from the Page Menu and press the
ENT
Key.
DISPLAYING/REMOVING TOPOGRAPHIC DATA ON ALL MFD PAGES
DISPLAYING NAVIGATION MAPS
1)
Press the
Map Opt
Softkey.
2)
Press the
TER
Softkey until ‘Topo’ is shown on the softkey to display
topographic data.
