8 Align the Aspen AC power cord retaining bracket over the AC power cord end(s) as shown in
Figure 88 .

9 Tighten all captive screws, located in the middle and on each end of the Aspen AC power cord
retaining bracket, using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
10 Connect the other end of the AC power cord(s) into the power source. This powers the system on.
NOTE
Leave the ESD-preventive wrist strap permanently connected to the chassis so that it is always available when you
need to touch ESD-sensitive components.
Removing the Aspen 8810 AC Power Cord Retaining
Bracket
Follow these steps to ensure proper removal of the Aspen 8810 AC power cord retaining bracket:
1 Attach the ESD-preventive wrist strap, that is provided, to your wrist and connect the metal end of
the ESD-preventive wrist strap to the ground receptacle located on the top-left corner of the Aspen
chassis front panel.
2 Disconnect all AC power cords from the power source.
3 Loosen all captive screws, located in the middle and on each end of the Aspen AC power cord
retaining bracket, using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.
4 Remove the Aspen AC power cord retaining bracket from the front of the Aspen chassis.
5 Remove the end of the AC power cord(s) from the power outlet(s) on front of the Aspen chassis.
NOTE
Leave the ESD-preventive wrist strap permanently connected to the chassis so that it is always available when you
need to touch ESD-sensitive components.
