Overview
This chapter describes important safety information, specifications, and correct procedures for installing
and removing the 700/1200 W AC power supply units (PSUs) into and from the power supply bay of a
BlackDiamond 10K or Aspen 8810 chassis. The 700/1200 W AC PSUs are fully fault tolerant and load-
sharing. Should one PSU fail, the others will provide sufficient power to operate a fully loaded chassis.
The power supply bay can accommodate up to six hot-swappable PSUs.
Pre-Installation Requirements
You need the following tools and equipment before installing or removing the 700/1200 W AC PSU(s)
into the power supply bay:

ESD-preventive wrist strap
●
# 2 Phillips screwdriver
●
700/1200 W AC PSU(s)
●
BlackDiamond 10K or Aspen 8810 chassis
●
Power supply cord (either 110 V AC or 220 V AC) or applicable to country of use.
