Distinguishing an Aspen 8810 MSM from an I/O Module
One way to distinguish an Aspen 8810 MSM from an Aspen 8810 I/O module is to examine the color of
the release latch located on each injector/ejector handle. Orange injector/ejector handles indicate that
the module is an MSM and green injector/ejector handles signify that the module is an I/O module as
shown in
Figure 68
.

All slots on the Aspen chassis (including slots 5/A and 6/B) can accommodate an I/O module;
however, only slots 5/A and 6/B can accommodate an MSM as shown in
Figure 69
.
