Removing an Aspen 8810 PSU/Fan Controller
Follow these steps to ensure proper removal of an Aspen 8810 PSU/fan controller from the PSU control
card access panel on the Aspen chassis:
1 Attach the ESD-preventive wrist strap, that is provided, to your wrist and connect the metal end of
the ESD-preventive wrist strap to the ground receptacle that is located on the top-left corner of the
chassis.
2 Locate the eight captive screws on the access panel cover located on the back side of the chassis as
shown in
Figure 81 .

3 Turn each captive screw counter-clockwise, using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, to loosen all eight captive
screws on the access panel cover also shown in
Figure 81 .
4 Gently pull the access panel cover off from the access panel on the chassis.
