NOTE
Leave the ESD-preventive wrist strap permanently connected to the chassis so that it is always available when you
need to touch ESD-sensitive components.
Replacing the BlackDiamond 10K Series Filter
This section describes how to replace the BlackDiamond 10K series filter.
NOTE
Extreme Networks recommends that you visually inspect the air filter at least once every three months. Replace or
clean as necessary.
To replace the filter in the BlackDiamond 10K series switch:

Remove the bezel from the front of the chassis using a #2 Phillips screwdriver.

Slide the filter out from the chassis.

Slide a new filter into the chassis.
Use the directional arrows on the top side of the filter to ensure the filter is facing the correct way, as
shown in
Figure 48
.
