■ Stock period of parts
Functional parts (required to maintain phone operation) will be kept in stock for a minimum of 6 years after the
product is discontinued. Depending on the malfunction, parts shortage and other conditions may mean that the
FOMA terminal cannot be repaired. Depending on the malfunction, the FOMA terminal can be repaired even
after the period of availability for a functional part is exceeded. Call at the Repairs inquiries number described
on the back of the manual.
Memory dial (phonebook function) and downloaded
information

Please keep a separate record of the information you have registered in your FOMA terminal. Please be
aware that DOCOMO bears no obligation or responsibility in the event that data is altered or lost.

When the FOMA terminal is inspected or repaired, data saved on your FOMA terminal may be altered or
lost. This includes data that you created, imported from an external source, or downloaded. We cannot
accept any responsibility for data alteration or loss that occurs in these circumstances. In addition, we may
need to replace the FOMA terminal instead of repairing it. Data including images/ring tones downloaded to
the FOMA terminal and user-created data are transferred to the new phone only when repaired (some data
cannot be transferred. Data may not be transferred depending on the damage).
* It may take time to transfer data or the data may not be transferred depending on the amount of the data stored on
the FOMA terminal.

Do not attempt to modify the FOMA terminal or accessories.
• Modification may result in fire, injury, or malfunction.
• Repairs to the FOMA terminal that has been modified (disassembled, altered, painted, etc.) will only be
carried out if the user agrees to have the FOMA terminal restored to its original state in line with
DOCOMO standards. Requests for repair of the modified FOMA terminal may be rejected. The following
may be regarded as modifications:
• Put stickers, etc. on the LCD or keys
• Decorate the FOMA terminal using adhesives, etc.
• Replace the external parts, etc. with non-DOCOMO components
• If malfunction or damage occurs as a result of modification, charges will apply even if the FOMA
terminal is still under warranty.

Do not remove the manufacturer’s specification sticker put on the FOMA terminal.
The manufacturer’s specification sticker certifies that the FOMA terminal meets technical standards.
Please be aware that it may not be possible to carry out repairs if the specifications cannot be confirmed
because the sticker has been removed, altered, etc.

The settings of the functions or the information about total call time may be cleared (reset) due to the
damage, repair or improper use of the FOMA terminal. In this case, specify the settings again.

Magnetic components are used for the following parts of the FOMA terminal. A cash card (ATM card,
bank card), etc. which is easily affected by magnetism, may become unusable if it is kept close to the
components:

If your FOMA terminal gets wet or moist, immediately turn it off, remove the battery pack, and bring the
FOMA terminal to a repair counter as soon as possible. Note that repairs may not be possible depending
on the condition.
