Area Mail is a service that enables you to receive
Early Warnings issued by the Japan Meteorological
Agency.

An i-mode service subscription and application to
receive messages are not necessary to receive
Area Mail.

Area Mail cannot be received regardless of the
Receive setting in the following cases:
• The power is off
• “
” is displayed
• During a voice call
• During a videophone call
• During international roaming
• In Omakase Lock
• In Self mode
• During infrared data exchange/
iC communications

The sort and filter functions can be used together.
For example, to display unread messages in
chronological order, select “Chronological

the sort menu, then select “Unread” in the filter
menu.
