Outline of International
Roaming (WORLD WING)
WORLD WING is DOCOMO’s international roaming
service that enables you to use your FOMA terminal
number and mail address while overseas as you do in
Japan.
z
You can use N-02A within the roaming area of
DOCOMO overseas. For details on the service
area and charge, see the DOCOMO “International
Services Website”.
z
Overseas networks contain three types of
communication methods: 3G, GPRS, and GSM.
• 3G network: 3rd generation mobile network
compliant with the 3GPP
*
global standard.
• GSM (Global System for Mobile
Communications): Digital second-generation
mobile communication network most popular
worldwide.
• GPRS (General Packet Radio Service): 2.5-
generation mobile communication network which
employs GSM communication method to provide
packet communications.
*: A regional standardization body established to
develop commonly applied technical specifications
for 3rd-generation mobile communications systems
(IMT-2000).

Enter the following country codes when using
international call or setting “Country code” in “Int’l dial
assistance”.
* For other country codes and details, see the DOCOMO
“International Services Website”.
Services Available Overseas

Some services may not be available depending on
the operator or area.
z
For details on communication services available
during international roaming, refer to the
international service guide such as “Mobile Phone
User’s Guide [International Services]”.
z
Packet communications charges overseas are
different from those in Japan.
■ Available communication services overseas
*1 : Dialing using Number B of 2in1 is not available (when
receiving a call to Number B, some operators cannot
determine to which number the call was made).
You cannot make a call from the additional number of
Multi Number.
*2 : International videophone calls are available with users
of specific roaming operators overseas or FOMA
terminals in Japan.
*3 : The automatic update will be automatically paused
when a roaming operator is connected. To resume the
i-Channel automatic update, it is required to set the
i-Channel setting again. However, packet
communications charges apply in addition to monthly
charges. When you automatically update information
on “Basic Channel”, the packet communications
charges will apply.
