Display text in the
recognition field
Focus the text so that the entire text appears as
large as possible inside the recognition field.
If the recognition field cannot display the entire
text, the text can be scanned into several
sections.

: Change from “Normal” to “Large”.

: Return from “Large” to “Normal”.

The scanning completion tone sounds, and the
recognized text appears in red or orange.

Do not move the FOMA terminal while the
“Processing” message is displayed.

The scanning completion tone does not sound
while in Manner mode.
z
Handwritten text cannot be recognized. If the text
is faxed or copied, fonts are decorated, character
spaces are not fixed, or fonts and background
cannot be easily distinguished, recognition may
fail. Also, recognition may fail depending on the
ambient lighting.
