first kanji is entered

Chinese on a site or in mail

You can read Chinese in i-mode mail/Deco-mail/
SMS or on the i-mode/Full Browser site screen.
Text cannot be displayed properly in the
following cases:
• Displayed function names or messages
• Title bar of the i-mode/Full Browser site
screen (A character that cannot be displayed
is converted to single-byte “
・ ”)

“Font type” under “Font” does not apply to
Chinese font.

When the mail subject/main text
contains Chinese text
z
The procedure of mail sending/receiving, mail
data sending/receiving via infrared data
exchange/iC communications/OBEX™
communications, or mail data exchanging using
a microSD card is the same as that of Japanese
text. Chinese text cannot be displayed properly if
the other party’s mobile phone is not compatible.
z
The mail cannot be stored at Data Security
Center, except if it contains only Chinese text
that can be converted to Japanese text.
z
Chinese cannot be read out.
z
When the mail subject contains Chinese text
that cannot be displayed in Japanese font, “New
mail” appears instead of the new mail subject
displayed with the FOMA terminal folded (p.27).
z
When the mail subject or main text contains
Chinese text that cannot be displayed in
Japanese font, “*Can’t display*” appears for the
subject and “*Can’t display this email*” for the
main text on the Life history viewer enlarged
screen.

When “Chinese setting” is set to “ON”, Japanese
font on a site or in mail differs from usual.
