When the mail subject/main text
contains Chinese text

The procedure of mail sending/receiving, mail
data sending/receiving via infrared data
exchange/iC communications/OBEX™
communications, or mail data exchanging using
a microSD card is the same as that of Japanese
text. Chinese text cannot be displayed properly if
the other party’s mobile phone is not compatible.
z
The mail cannot be stored at Data Security
Center, except if it contains only Chinese text
that can be converted to Japanese text.
z
Chinese cannot be read out.
z
When the mail subject contains Chinese text
that cannot be displayed in Japanese font, “New
mail” appears instead of the new mail subject
displayed with the FOMA terminal folded (p.27).

When the mail subject or main text contains
Chinese text that cannot be displayed in
Japanese font, “*Can’t display*” appears for the
subject and “*Can’t display this email*” for the
main text on the Life history viewer enlarged
screen.
