Settings
● Storing/Updating/Restoring
phonebook data at the Data Security
Center
Store the FOMA terminal (Phone) phonebook at the
Data Security Center. The stored phonebook can be
restored to the FOMA terminal or updated by
connecting to the Data Security Center.
z
If you have not subscribed to the service and try to
connect to the Data Security Center, a screen
appears indicating that you have not subscribed.
z
Data Security Service cannot be used when you are
out of the i-mode service area or the power is off.

Automatic update is not performed if another
function is active when updating starts.

If the phonebook is not updated, the “ ” desktop
icon appears.

The phonebook stored in the FOMA card (UIM)
cannot be stored at the Data Security Center.
z
A phonebook entry with an image larger than
100KB cannot be stored or updated.

When you restore the phonebook data stored at the
Data Security Center to the FOMA terminal, icons
stored with phone numbers and mail addresses may
be replaced with “
” and “ ”.
z
If phonebook entries of the FOMA terminal are
deleted, the entries at the Data Security Center will
also be deleted at the time of phonebook update.
When you download phonebook entries from the
Data Security Center to the FOMA terminal, follow
the procedure below to restore them.

Even if the following items are deleted from
Phone, the corresponding data in the Data
Security Center is not deleted when updating: The
second or subsequent phone number/mail
address and location information in Phonebook,
the phone number of the group name (No.) in
PushTalk phonebook. However, for the second or
subsequent phone number/mail address,
accessing the Data Security Center from the PC
site (My docomo) to delete the corresponding data
enables updating phonebook.
z
Deleting the whole phonebook of a single entry
enables updating data in the Data Security
Center.
