10.1 How to Set
DVP-PM allows users to set up passwords to protect user program through PMSoft. Set up the password before
downloading the program into DVP-PM so that the program is protected from being illegally intercepted or
modified. Therefore, before uploaoding the encrypted program to PMSoft for modifications, please enter the
correct password first. In PMSoft, you can encrypt O100 main program, 100 Oxn (n = 0 ~ 99) motion subroutines
and 256 Pm (m = 0 ~ 255) subroutines.
The setup process contains three parts: system information, download and upload.
10.1.1 System Information
The system information area contains 2 parts: (1) Program, for switching between editing windows and acquiring
the current program status; (2) PEP Setting, the encryption to protect the program. In the editing window, there
are total 357 programs can be protected by encryption, including 1 O100 main program, 100 Oxn motion
subroutines and 256 Pm subroutines. See paragraphs below for the explanations on the functions in the system
information area.
Displaying system information and program encryption setting
Unfolding motion subroutine and P subroutine: Click the motion subroutine or P subroutine to unfold the
subroutine number. There are 100 motion subroutines and 256 P subroutines.
