snmp-server community
Global Configuration mode command configures the community
access string to permit access to the SNMP protocol. To remove the specified community string,
use the
no
form of this command.
Syntax

Community string that acts like a password and permits access to the
SNMP protocol. (Range: 1-20 characters)

—Indicates read-only access (default).

—Indicates read-write access.

—Indicates SNMP administrator access.

ip-address
—Specifies the IP address of the management station.
•
group-name—Specifies the name of a previously defined group. A group defines the
objects available to the community. (Range: 1-30 characters)

view-name
—Specifies the name of a previously defined view. The view defines the objects
available to the community. (Range: 1-30 characters)
