User Guidelines
•
The following relationship must be maintained between the timers:
–
Leave time must be greater than or equal to three times the join time.
–
Leave-all time must be greater than the leave time.
•
Set the same GARP timer values on all Layer 2-connected devices. If the GARP timers are set
differently on Layer 2-connected devices, the GARP application will not operate successfully.
Example
The following example sets the leave timer for Ethernet port 1/e6 to 900 milliseconds.

gvrp vlan-creation-forbid
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
command disables dynamic VLAN creation or modification. To enable dynamic VLAN creation
or modification, use the
no
form of this command.
Syntax
gvrp vlan-creation-forbid
no gvrp vlan-creation-forbid
Default Configuration
Dynamic VLAN creation or modification is enabled.

This command forbids dynamic VLAN creation from the interface. The creation or
modification of dynamic VLAN registration entries as a result of the GVRP exchanges on an
interface are restricted only to those VLANs for which static VLAN registration exists.
